Recap of Vinexpo America 2023

Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York

From March 8 to 9, we were at Vinexpo America, a wine trade show in New York

The outcome of a long work

For more than three years, we have been striving to develop our export sales. This is certainly a complex and long-term task, but it is rewarding in the long run. Selling our wine abroad is a way to expand our market, to find new sales channels where our products are well valued. It is also an evolution for the winery; every day we learn from our experiences and make our exploitation grow. Exporting abroad is a way to position oursleves on the international wine scene, to get closer to the consumers, to immerse ourselves in the cultures and to keep an eye on the competition in order to remain relevant and qualitative, whether it is in Couddes, our village, or in New York!

How was Vinexpo America ?

Vinexpo America is a trade show where buyers, importers, distributors and producers meet. Unlike Wine Paris, which is has international scope, Vinexpo America focuses on professionals from the United States, Mexico and Canada. It’s a smaller, more human-sized show, which we like. After Wine Paris, Vinexpo allowed us to talk again with the professionals we had met, this time in a more confidential and calm way.

General overview

Vinexpo America hosted a total of 440 exhibitors from 32 different countries with a record number of visitors for this 2023 edition. France was particularly well represented, thanks to Taste France, an organization led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, which aims to help promote the know-how and products of actors of the French Terroir. They have set up a free tasting stand in partnership with Christy Canterbury, a renowned American Master of Wine, who has made a selection of 50 wines from all those present at the show, according to various criteria. We are grateful that our Touraine Oisly “Eloquence” was chosen as “Best Loire Sauvignon” for this occasion.

It was our first exhibition at Vinexpo but we will come back next year for sure!
